Position Summary
The Graduate Assistant for Facilities and Game Operations at Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU Metropolitan) is a two-year, part-time position beginning in summer 2026. The selected candidate will pursue a graduate degree while supporting 23 varsity athletic programs in game management and facility oversight. This role provides comprehensive experience in event operations, scheduling, vendor coordination, and supervision of game-day personnel within an NCAA athletics environment. Compensation includes graduate tuition, housing, and a stipend.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Enrollment or acceptance into an FDU graduate program (Fall 2026)
• At least one year of relevant athletic experience (volunteer or paid)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work nights and weekends
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and preparing athletic games, events, and facilities
• Serve as point person for game-day setup and breakdown
• Manage facility, practice, and competition schedules
• Supervise student staff, ushers, and ball kids
• Coordinate with visiting teams and serve as liaison
• Communicate with game officials and vendors
• Support facility improvement projects and operational initiatives
