Position Summary
The Graduate Assistant – Athletic Facilities & Operations position at Providence College is a two-year, part-time assistantship beginning in August 2026. The selected candidate will support the Associate Athletic Director for Facilities & Operations in managing intercollegiate athletic events, facility scheduling, and game-day operations. This role provides comprehensive exposure to NCAA Division I event management, facility oversight, staffing coordination, and operational logistics within a competitive athletics environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (Sports Management or related field preferred)
• Full-time enrollment in a two-year graduate program at Providence College
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and extended hours

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise assigned athletic events
• Oversee event staff and collaborate with Sports Information, Marketing, and campus departments
• Train and schedule student workers
• Assist with physical setup and breakdown of events
• Resolve event-related issues and complaints
• Manage game and practice scheduling to avoid conflicts
• Support facility maintenance and oversee repairs
• Assist with management of the athletic department vehicle fleet and related policies
