USA Triathlon Internship – Remote

Position Summary
The NCAA Research Internship with USA Triathlon is a 12-month, remote opportunity designed for students pursuing careers in sport management, recreation, communication, athletics administration, or event planning. Interns provide 8–10 hours per week of support to the NCAA program team, contributing to research, database management, data analysis, and strategic growth initiatives that shape collegiate triathlon nationwide. This unpaid internship emphasizes applied learning, analytics, and professional collaboration within an Olympic and Paralympic sport governing structure.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in sport management, recreation, athletics, communication, event planning, or related field
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technological systems
• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
• Eligibility to work in the United States
• Availability for weekly calls and potential travel

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and support data collection for NCAA triathlon programming
• Manage and input data into databases; troubleshoot errors
• Analyze data to guide programming and strategic growth
• Create graphs, charts, and presentation decks for storytelling and reporting
• Assist with event planning and departmental projects
• Support recruitment and communication with NCAA Coaches Association volunteers
• Collaborate with internal teams to strengthen engagement and program development
