Position Summary
McNeese State University Athletics is seeking four Graduate Assistants beginning Summer/Fall 2026. Two positions are in Athletic Facilities & Game Operations, one in Marketing, and one in Ticket Operations. These part-time assistantships provide hands-on experience in NCAA Division I athletics administration, event management, fan engagement, and ticketing operations. Graduate assistants must be admitted into a McNeese graduate program and be prepared to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. Compensation includes a half graduate tuition waiver.

Requirements

  • Admission into a McNeese graduate program
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
  • Preferred prior experience in the specific functional area
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (Facilities & Operations role)

Responsibilities (by Area)

Facilities & Game Operations (2 Positions)

  • Serve as game manager for assigned sports
  • Coordinate game-day staff, visiting teams, and officials
  • Assist with event setup and breakdown
  • Support facility maintenance and special events

Marketing (1 Position)

  • Create content (graphics, photography, video)
  • Execute in-game promotions and activations
  • Support fan engagement initiatives and special events

Ticket Operations (1 Position)

  • Assist with ticket sales, fulfillment, and event execution
  • Provide customer service to fans
  • Support daily ticket office operations
